Lydia was senior sub-editor at the Pretoria News. Newspapers and the newspaper industry have been her life for many years. As seasoned journalist, sub-editor, assistant editor and lay-out artist she has been working for many newspapers in South Africa including Oggendblad, Die Transvaler, Beeld, Record and the Pretoria News. Apart from her passion for newspapers she enjoys the movies, collects comic strips and does karate. She holds an MA in Afrikaans Netherlands.
